Acne Remedy for Healthier Skin

Finding an effective acne remedy can be very challenging and a lot of people are always in search of the right treatment that can help treat acne successfully. If you are suffering from acne, remember that there are many ways to treat this skin problem. However, for a simple and quick acne treatment, there are some pointers that can help reduce your acne problems. 1. As much as possible, wash or change your pillowcase everyday. It is recommended to wash your pillowcase every two days and hang them outside and let it dry under the sun in order to eliminate bacteria from the pillowcase that can cause acne and skin blemishes.
2. Make sure to wash your face everyday using a gentle acne cleanser or anti-bacterial soap at least two times a day. It is best to find an acne product that contains aloe vera in order to keep your skin healthy.
3. Acne products with benzoyl peroxide are recommended.
4. If you are using cosmetics, make sure to purchase hypoallergenic products for your acne remedy and avoid skin allergies.
5. Avoid touching or rubbing your face with the use of your hands. Remember that your hands are filled with oils and bacteria. It is also recommended to wash your hands with an anti-bacterial soap and make sure to wash them several times everyday.
6. Run hot water in your shower at least once a day and let steam fill your bathroom. Stay there for around ten to fifteen minutes as the steam helps open and clean the skin pores.
7. Though milk is good for your health, avoid drinking too much of it because milk is known to make your acne condition worse.
8. Avoid using sugar and other sugar substitutes because it tends to steal essential vitamins from the body that fight acne.
9. If you are taking birth control pills and experiencing acne, there’’s a big possibility that your condition is caused by these pills. Avoid taking birth control pills because studies show that these pills can affect the condition of acne. If you need to take birth control pills, try to change your brand or use something that contains low milligrams.
10. Some experts recommend antibiotics for treating acne but this is not suggested unless you have severe acne condition. However, once you discontinue using antibiotics, acne may return. In addition, the use of antibiotics this way may produce a resistance to the medication, which may not be good for your health.
11. Home remedies can effectively help in fighting acne-causing bacteria. Aside from being more effective, these remedies are considered safer compared to synthetic acne medications and treatments.
