The two areas which you will like to research thoroughly before selecting home-based business is products and company. Following criteria for selection should be helpful in selecting this:
The Products: A wide range of products are available today, I personally believe that information products have an advantage over others. The reason being that they are internationally accessible and have a fewer regulations associated with it.
However, it’’s very important that you have used the products, liked it and believe that others will use it too. If the products do not have value than this will hold back your success.
Below are some more questions that you should consider:
* Are the products helpful in solving one or more difficult problems?
* Does the company provide refunds? Guarantee for satisfaction is a key factor today’’s customers look for.
* Is it a standalone product? Will the product help you even without the attached business opportunity?
* What’’s the competition that this product faces? What challenges you may have to face when you promote these products.
* What’’s different in this product compared with competitors?
* Are the products durable or not? (Is there a possibility of repeat business)
* Are the products unique and in huge demand? (find out from market and not from the company)
* Do these products offer value for money? You don”t want to promote something which doesn”t have market value.
* Are these unique products or also available through other marketing channels?
Company: select Company that is growing and stable. Preferably you would want the company to be in existence for at least 3-5 years as this gives you opportunity to check their growth. However, you will also like it to be growing with further expansion capacity.
Do not fall for companies with negative track record and check for any pending litigation cases also.
Below are some more questions that you should consider:
1 Who promoted the company?
2 When was it promoted?
3 Does the company contribute socially towards the community in which it operates?
4 Look out for track record and credentials of Promoters / managers
5 What are the company’’s long-term goals?
6 Does the company has a marketing policy to take advantage of the modern trends in marketing including internet and social media?
