5 Things You Can do to Get Coaching Clients

If you are a coach that has not been able to get your coaching business to the level you would like, you are not alone! Many coaches graduate from coaching school and hit roadblocks to getting their coaching business to the level that they can coach full time. Here are five things you can do now to jump start your coaching business.
Pick a topic and write a three hundred to five hundred word article about that topic. Your topic should educate, inform or solve a problem for your reader. Target the content of this article to your coaching niche and the struggles that keep them awake at night. Use this article as the basis to develop a half hour workshop that will identify the struggles your niche faces, describes the pain caused by that struggle, offers possible solutions to the problem, and calls them to make a commitment to take specific actions to solve their problem. Make a list of every group you can think of that could use a free speaker and make an offer to speak for that group. Send them a one sheet promotional letter that describes what you will be talking about and how the audience will benefit from your workshop.
Join three networking groups. Paid and free networking groups are easily found with a quick internet search. Attend these groups regularly and ask to speak at these groups as well. Talk to people and have an introduction ready that tells them who you are, who you help, and how you help them.
Offer a free session to people in your circle of influence. Send out an email to everyone you know offering an irresistible free coaching session. Tell them that they can take advantage of the offer or pass it on to a friend. Be sure to include your email address so that it is easy to schedule the free session. Be sure to give you session a dynamic title like A free goal setting coaching session.
Give something free away on your website or blog. Offer the article you wrote in step one or another valuable gift. Ask people to give you their name and email in order to receive the gift. You can offer a free article, ebook, or teleclass.
These methods will get you in front of your target coaching niche so that can get to know, like, and trust you. People need to know you and trust you before they will coach with you. When you give someone something for fee, they begin to trust you and can see that you can help them.
