The more times a website is linked to online, the more the webcrawler assumes that website must be important to those searching for its relevant keyword phrases.
And that means the higher up in the search engine results they will appear, resulting in more targeted website traffic and more profits!
So, what can you do to effectively build links that stand the test of time and produce solid results? Well, there are some simple, yet extremely powerful strategies that people are using right now, and you should do so too.
For one thing, write articles and then publish them at article directories like EzineArticles and GoArticles. These articles will include a link to your website. Other webmasters can republish your articles on their website, thus generating more links for you!
These days, people also use social bookmarking to bookmark articles that they like, and every social bookmarking by a different person counts as another link. Plus, you should socially bookmark all of your own articles, too. A few of the top social bookmarking websites include StumbleUpon, Ma.gnolia, and BuddyMarks.
Another thing to do for highly-effective link building is to add other relevant but non-competitor websites links to your own link page, and then e-mail that website (or blog) administrator and ask for a link in return. Most are delighted to reciprocate. Try swapping links with at least 5 people a week, and you will be very pleased within a few short months.
Next, you should visit forums that are relevant to your product or service. Become a member and start making lots of relevant, entertaining, exciting, useful, but NOT shamelessly self-promoting posts. Using your signature, include a link back to your website with every post.
Not only does every post get you another link back, but when people at those forums realize how generous, personable, and informative you are, they”ll be more likely to visit your website, which can generate a steady stream of free targeted traffic.
Also, make your links anchor text links whenever possible. This means instead of just using your URL, you use the keyword phrase you are targeting for the text of your hyperlink. Mix and match a few variations on different forums to make it look more natural.
Lastly, you should also constantly monitor your websites link popularity and the link popularity of your competitors. You can use the online Internet sites Marketleap and Alexa, respectively, for these purposes. Happy link building!
